The Photographer of the Month is the “Heart of the BRNN!”

Every month I choose a photographer to send me eight to fifteen photos and a short bio. The photos are amazing! It really helps me with refreshing my memory for identification of flora and fauna. This month I decided to post the “Heart of the BRNN” which are photos of our members on our fun and informative outings! Please do not be shy and share any of your photos! If you would like to be “Photographer of the Month” please email me. You do not need to be a professional photographer! My email is publicrealations@brnnetwork.org

The photos this month are not all mine but I will add a short bio of myself seeing how I am the lady behind the curtain like the Wizard of Oz!

My name is Penelope Reed. I am on the BRNN Board and I am the public relations person. I send information to local papers about upcoming events. I am also in charge of the website. The website has been in place two and a half years. I had no experience what so ever with a website! It was quite intimidating! We were lucky enough to have Tina Masciarelli step up and develop it and spend time teaching me how to use it. She is an amazing woman!

My husband Scott and I moved to Fairview five years ago from Hinesburg, Vermont. We have two adult children. Our son lives in Yakima, Washington and our daughter lives in Bend, Oregon. We have a great dane, a pug and an African gray parrot named Sydney and she keeps us all in line!

We miss Vermont but love living in Western NC! It is such a beautiful place and we take advantage of all the great hikes, great music and fantastic food in Asheville!
