Jenny S. Wilker will trace William Bartram and André Michaux eventful journeys, made during a time of dangerous and fluctuating relations between the Cherokee, British governors, and colonial settlers. A main focus will be their many botanical discoveries made in this area.

On the morning of August 8th, 28 Blue Ridge Naturalists and friends met to take advantage of an opportunity to explore Purchase Knob. This 535 acre former private residence abutting the Great Smoky Mountains National Park was donated to the Park Service in 2000 and is now used as a research and training facility. The property features broad high elevation meadows filled with summer wildflowers. Read more
Blue Ridge Naturalist Network presents Marci Spencer, a naturalist, historian and author. Marci will take us on a tour of the Nantahala National Forest, her newest release. She will have books for sale. Open to the Public.
